Question on brake upgrade.

Hey guys...hoping this is an easy question for you. I'm replacing the old Hayes MX1 w/ 6" rotors on my hardtail (converted for cruising/commuting use) and ordered a set of Avid Elixr 5's. Will the rotors I have work with the Avids and will I need any adapters to mount the calipers on my frame/fork? Thanks!
