09 lyrik u turn service, need help

Hello, recently i've bought a used 09 lyrik u turn, i dont know when service has been done last time, and i dont rly want to send my fork and wait weeks to make a basic service, so here i am with few questions.
First, is it hard to make a basic oilchange for a guy that has never done this before?
And if i take off lower legs, any oil that is in the upper tubes will leak out or just the one that is in lower legs? are they separate?
Any other hints i should keep in mind while doing this?
