Correct Size Remedy 9.9 Frame?

I was looking to buy a 2011 Remedy 9.9 frame and the person told me it was a large, 19.5 inch. I am currently about 5'10"-5'11". I went to my local Trek store to try a 19.5 and see if it would fit me, but they didn't have any. The people there just told me to not go any higher than a 18.5. Anyone have their thoughts on this? My friend is pretty much the same size as me and rides a large SB66C, which has similar dimensions to the Remedy. He said he feels fine on the large, and he just runs a 50mm stem.

I'd go with the large as well. I am 5'11'' too and I ride a large Mojo HDR no problem.
