Spank Oozy Trail295 wheelset leaking at valve?

So I recently purchased a Spank Oozy Trail295 wheelset. When setting it up tubeless initially (with a Joe's kit) the tyres seated and sealed, but air was leaking from the valve-rim interface... I re-taped and tried again but no luck! I've since taken it in to my LBS, who have tried various combo's of tapes, valves and kits, including the Spank valves, with the same results. Note that simply tightening the valve lock nut does not work.

Just wondering if anyone else has had the same issues with this particular wheelset and has found a fix, or has found a fix on other wheels with this issue?

Any help would be appreciated! Sorry for another tubeless question...

If you know it's leaking from the valve (and not just out the external valve hole) remove and check the valve stem. I recently set up my wheels tubeless, which were then leaking from the valves, and I fixed it by adding a small o-ring on the valve stem on the inside of the rim, probably because the rubber base of the valve didn't exactly match the curve of the rim bed.
