HI,

I was wondering if any of you have suffered form a dislocated elbow and what your recovery was like?

I dislocated my elbow, tore my ligaments off and broke my arm all in one, 2 days after getting my new bike :-s amazingly it hasn't been too bad (well not as bad as the leg I broke a few years ago), I had a Op, got put back together again and was out of a cast after 3 weeks, so I could start getting my elbow moving.

I am intrigued to hear if anyone else had come back from a dislocated elbow and how long it took you to get your arm straight again? I am on week two of hourly physio to try and straighten my arm and I have got it to about 10 degrees from straight, but now it seems to have hit its limit with little improvement day to day. This could be due to the swelling stopping me pushing it any further at the moment. Would be great to hear how long it took others to get their arm straight and how long until they felt strong enough to get back on the bike..

Cheers
