After sliding around like a wet fish in a skating bowl, and not knowing too much about tyres...

Am wondering what 2.2" mud spikesto go with that aren't too draggy when inbetween trails?

Also ones that are not too heavy so what is acceptable weight wise?

Compound wise, thinking the stickier the better i.e. For race only SR 50 - are they truly only for race only riders or is it possible to ride every day xc/core trail and spot of light DH useage on them without being overkill?

I found Bontrager Mud x to be very good but are quite skinny

Yh they come up like my Trailrakers which are meant to be 2.1"

Need something slightly burlier and stickief compound than Bontragers and Paneracers though!

So I'm really looking for user reviews of the ITS Spikes 2.25" FRO SR 50 tyres.

Oh btw I'm currently using MK2 Continental MKs 2.4" F and 2.2" R.

They're no good for clay, rocks, roots and least of all mucky mud at this time of year.

You can get wetsceams in 2.2 , quite hard to find but if you shop about they are around , an awesome slimmer spike , the 2.2 have slightly lower knobs than the 2.5's so roll a bit better.

Just picked up a set of Intense sticky rubber Spikes and they look well decent.

Supef aggressive mud tyre which I have no doubt they will be!
