The Union Street Molly Maguire came with 990 u-brakes, but there was also a V-brake option.

I have a 2005 Norco 250 that has optional/removable v brake mounts. Also 24" but it has 14 mm dropouts.. Weird

And why do you want a V-brake? ; )

I would not buy a frame that would not take Vee brakes. Well, maybe on a DH or something I plan on riding in the rain, but dirt or street it's Vees.

Right on. It's interesting how the BMX world has split the usage--V-brakes for racing, U-brakes for street/park/dirt/flatland/trails. Hard to say if there are tech reasons or just history/marketing/business reasons....

Vees offer more power U breaks take up less room. You can't hide Vees under the C-stays ect...

There's not enough space on a BMX street frame for V's. You'd catch your feet on them all the time. I did have XTR cantilevers on my Bully Piston Street, and they were amazing.

I think that depends more on their set up than anything. If you had canti's on a frame, then how could you ever complain about Vees?

1994 Marin Bear Valley SE. Shimano STX SE rear cantilever brakes.

Sorry, I should explain better. The Bully Piston Street frame (1992) was actually the same length as a race / trails bike, pretty much the same as an S&M Dirt Bike. As such, with a long rear end, V's or cantis would have been fine. But modern BMX street bikes have crazy short rear ends, and that would be a problem for V's or cantis.
