Hi there.
Here is the message I sent to Mongoose (customerservice@pacific-cycle.com) a week ago and didn't get an answer. Maybe I should wait a little more, but I think you could find this situation rather interesting =)

"Hello.

I would like to ask you a question about one interesting thing, which I found when decided to change the color of my old Ritual Dirt frame.
After some paint stripping I noticed a spot, which looked like some kind of welding, and possibly the crack near it.
So I would like to know is it supposed to be so and some damaged tubes could have been fixed like that when the frame was welded, and is it safe to keep riding this bike?

Here is a couple of pictures I took with my phone camera to show you the subject of my curiosity.
Sorry for my lame English.

Best regards, **** ******* from Russia."

Thats pretty f*cked up, looks like its been brazed..

You ARE in russia, so pretty much anything goes..

Mongoose now makes some of the crappiest bikes sold (they make some good ones too, but not many) so you arent likely going to hear back from them..

The crack continue in what seems to be a welding, so it's not safe to ride this bike as it is now.
