267 is the eye to eye length of the shock, 89 is the shocks stroke length. You would need to buy a shock with the same eye to eye length (267) or you will start to change the bikes geo.. That's if a bigger shock would fit. You can in some cases fit a 267 shock with a different stroke length without affecting much

What compression pretune (soft/med/hard) did you go for on the vivid for this frame? I'm looking at putting 2014 vivid r2c on my 2014 YT Tues and was hoping you could save me some homework ?? Wink

I would be careful with the stroke lenth personally. Although what you say is very true, bike geometry is designed in conjuncion with the suspension. If you put a shock in that has a different stroke you may run the risk of either bottoming out or not having full range of movement. It all depends on the shock/lever angles and chainstay angle/length. Best to stick with what you have or you risk wasting your money.

Pretty sure all generations of the tues run 267x89/10.5x3.5"
