So due to financial reasons I am having to sell my Banshee Phantom frame and will be replacing it with a steel hardtail frame. So far the top contender is a Transition TransAm 29. The parts will remain roughly the same, but some things will get a downgrade to save some money and also to speed up the build process.

So here goes:

Frame: Transition TransAm 29, black
Headset: Cane Creek 40, tapered
Fork: Formula 35, 120mm
Front Hub: DT Swiss 350 15x100
Rims: E.13 TRSr, 32h
Rear Hub: DT Swiss 350, 12x142, XD driver
Tires: WTB Trailboss 29x2.25 TCS
Stem: Bontrager Rhythm Pro, 60mm
Handlebar: Bontrager Rhythm Pro Carbon, 750mm
Grips: Easton Lock On
Front Brake: SRAM Guide RSC
Front Rotor: Avid Clean Sweep 180mm
Rear Brake: SRAM Guide RSC
Rear Rotor: Avid Clean Sweep 160mm
Seat Post: KS LEV Integra, 30.9x125mm
Saddle: WTB Volt Team
Cranks: Race Face Turbine CINCH, 170mm
BB: Race Face CINCH
Pedals: (undecided)
Chain: KMC X11SL, gold
Cassette: SRAM X1 10-42
Derailleur: SRAM X01
Shifter: SRAM X01 trigger
Housing: Gore RideOn
Misc: Ti bolts if I feel like it

Sounds good though to save money I would drop the X01 kit and just go full X1. The savings will be well worth it.
I would also be tempted to run 2.35 tires.
How about some wide spec rims? Lots of options coming to the market now.
Roval, Ibis, American Classic, etc
Other than that spec looks great. Post photos when it's done

I already have the rims, front hub, brakes, fork, and tires. So those things will not change.

That's going to be sweet bike. I considered the transam but went with the ragley bigwig because crc had them on close out. Did you consider the canfield nimble 9?

I really dislike the looks of the Nimble 9. I know that sounds shallow, but if I'm going to be riding the thing and looking at it all the time I need to like how it looks.

O+

It's a little more than I want to spend on a frame, tbh.

At retail, yes.

Also it lacks ISCG, 12x142 through axle, and stealth routing.
