Instead of getting a trials bike, I bought a used freestyle bike. I ended up finding a 2001 Dyno Compe and am sorting it out now.

It's got a double walled rim on the rear, and stock up front. Both are 48 spoke. Forks look good (no pitting) but It's going to need some new cables and some tinkering with the brakes.

It's got a 1 piece crank on it at the moment, but what other sites like danscomp can I look for used / "scratch and dent" parts that are going to be more in my price range? I'm thinking chromoly for the crank, but I'm still learning. Very open to suggestions! Thanks

About the time I posted this, I noticed the Buy/Sell section on the website... So perhaps more focus on a recommendations of brands / materials of cranks?

Thanks, I think I've actually found the best deal i believe I'm going to on there. A three piece Schwinn XS.
