ok. so you dont like kittens, you play winter sports and no interest in getting fat and watching tv so now what. we need some life in here.

with this being said XB had back surgery 2 days ago and is at home recovering. he is hoping to get on a bike next year as he was injured this one. so send him out some good vibes as i kind of miss riding with him and sitting at home is making him meaner than usual.

the 19th I am probably heading to Kamloops for what could be my last DH shuttle trip of the year. time to clean up the bike and maybe let it go to a new home. open invite as always but we have 3 at the moment but as we have learned that can change on a dime as people like to find reasons not to ride sometimes

new rule: no cancelling ride dates unless you have a good reason. vasectomy is not a good reason. take off your seat and suck it up. dog dying girlfirend leaving you also not good reasons. your death or amputation maybe good reasons but only if you are stiff to the point that we cant get you on your bike... now that i think of it amputation is also not a good reason.. unless it is a certain man part and cancelling for that only proves what we knew already...

We just got a new kitten.
We're constantly fostering the little ones then giving them back to SPCA for adoption.
This last one ended up staying.
Gets along great with the Rottie.

Tune down and turn it up.
Not metal but dirty goodness.

I'm sure it could be legit for sure... Only thing is that wheelset is garbage do not touch those things trust XB from experience they are terrible. And air boxxer stay the hell away from, you will hate it and with the new cartridge spring boxxer out, they seem way better option. Looks like it is in good shape but I am sure a WC level rider can put alot of stress on a bike in a short time. Other than that, looks great Devinci Wilsons are pretty highly reviewed by most people.

very rare I read X-Balls posted on this forum

ran them since they came out with the DH wheelset. no hassles, never needed truing, straight as an arrow, ride nice, smooth, all the good things. bought at bro price. probably wouldn't have bought them at full retail

AND they match my frame, which a far more important and relevant buying decision when MTB is concerned

horses for courses, but good vfm. could do a lot worse, IMO

sure I'd upgrade to King hubs and Enve* rims, if I actually rode a bike

* j/k

You must ride really mellow if you did not destroy those hoops in 1/4 of a season. wow I'm shocked... But why Enve everyone and their dog is selling Chineese hookless spoke carbon rims with their own decal on it... But for $1350 and Hope Pro2's, when you can have $5 worth of 11 different decal colors of cliche bike product company name slapped on the side of your knock off chineese wheelset.
http://www.vitalmtb.com/news/press-release/Atomik-Carbon-Rolls-Out-Premium-Carbon-Mountain-Rims-and-Components,1053

But all reviews of these carbon wheelsets have been mostly bad, with reviewers saying the 40 grams weight savings over the high end aluminum alternative for half the price is not worth the price... Plus the multiple other things that aren't there technology wise for carbon yet. But this wont stop people from investing 3 times scratch that 4 times too much into something they dont need, but have to have because the pros are running it.

$550 into XB's lightweight aluminum wheelset, straight as an arrow. Only been trued once for a slight tightning... Mavic aluminum hoops are still the best, not sure why people have strayed. Can be fixed trail side with a hammer and crescent wrench in emergency. Good inexpensive hubs, dt swiss spokes and nipples and your off to the races for years. Come on people, stop investing in crap you don't need.

Actually scratch that Mavic / Stan's is stepping up their technology game, their comparable strength wheels are only 0 - 60 grams heavier for 1/4 of the price. Fixable trail side is the clincher for XB... too much time spent on road trips riding, bike needs to be able to be fixed easily... When you blow up your proprietary design hookless style flat spoke how the heck you going to get that fixed in bucktooth no where in the Kootnaeys or Chilcoltins. Your not... Your going to buy or throw on your spare old school full aluminum j-hook spoke wheels and continue the rest of your trip with grins for ear to ear. You will realize after a half a days riding that there is next to no or no noticeable difference in the ride quality. With the left over cash if you are a married or family man, you will take your wife out to a nice dinner, and reap the rewards later @ the campsite... If you are a single guy you will put all the funds you didn't invest in wasted Carbon into a fun Testosterone filled night in Whistler with (2) "8" balls jammed into your left pocket and your life savings crammed into your right pocket in 100 bills to attract the Gold Diggers @ Whistler clubs.
