i just bought a brand new bike which has boxxer r2c2 forks. when i compress them they make a funny knocking noise and also the low and high speed compression isnt very effective. would this be from the wrong amount of oil? is it an easy job to top up the oil? hope someone can help.. thanks.

If your still having problems. Take the spring out and check the distance between the 3 black spring coatings.
Also the oil level in the other leg should be 170mm from the top of the stanction. Hope that helps

My guess the knocking noise would be the spring hitting the inside of the stanchion.
I own an R2C2. The high speed/low speed compression adjustments aren't noticeable until you actually ride the bike on trail. A flat paved road or parking lot test will show little difference in the adjustments.
