I'd just get MG1s or something like Deity Compounds if I wanted something cheap, grippy, and light.

I'll just keep riding PCs.

i think i will get some PCs, for my next pedalsm they are really cheap, and for the beating that pedals carry, i thinks is a great choice.

They're really not that light, in all honesty. The grip is awesome though.

not that light being...?

Those are mine on a scale.

I'd happily buy another set, as the grip is absolutely insane. All other pedals on the market seem to get grip with massive pins, and honestly that is the last thing you want when you do foot off pedal tricks. The Rubens seem to have as much, if not more grip, without the shin maiming pins to go along, and that grip is still absolutely massive without the grip tape.

#1 pedal on the market for grip, though the weight isn't that awesome, the price is absurd, and I know some people who've had issues with bearing life.

This is what I'm running right now, mongoose branded B087 wellgo's

Plenty of grip and they are running on stock bearings after 2 years of use. Those are my DH pedals so I don't know if yours would be a good option for me, due to the use I will be putting them into.

If I spend the moneys on pedals i think I'll get point ones or twentysix predators, if not I'll get some PC's

Yeah, mostly all aluminum pedals are above the 400g.. I completely agree about the awesome grip without having long pins which is the best you can do for your shins.. Besides that the pins are smartly placed so that when u hit something with them, the pins don't fall off, which is a main issue in many pedals!! Besides, they are easy to replace and when u buy them they already come with replacements.. I've heard some people complain about the bearing life, but I haven't had any issues, taking care of them is obviously on my list as they are expensive!!

I can't think of many pedals in that price bracket that are still over 400grams. At that price you're typically getting a lightweight pedal.

And those rebrand pedals are alright. I've had a few unsealed sets with the same platform. They last alright, and the grip isn't bad, but I wouldn't put them in the same sport, let alone the same league. The grip on those comes from the pins. Slip them once and you'll regret owning them. Rubens just sorta hit your shin and move on. Yet to have anything worse than a lovetap on my shin.

I haven't found a set of PCs I even remotely like, let alone enough to spend my money on. The decoys look nice though.

Perhaps Welgo B-065s? I've had two sets and can't say anything bad about them. The grip is pretty spot on for the price, colours abound, and they have a decent axle and bearing system. Otherwise maybe get some MG-1s and replace them as they shatter.

Those pins were rightly named!!! DMR Terror pins!!!
Your shins must be Horrified!!
I always like a good and stick-e feel to the pedals, but I don't think u need so long pins to achieve that..
U just need a well designed pin placement and good shoes!
