Hi Pinkbike TrailBuilders,

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with using a Petrol Powered Leaf Blower to get rid of unwanted pine needles or leaf litter on trails?

Does it work when the ground or leaves are wet?
Does it do a better job than raking?
Is it more time/effort efficient compared to raking?

Thankyou for your assistance!

Old post I know. I use a backpack blower. Works killer even in wet leaves. Strong enough you can actually remover Duff and soil. Which is good in some ways, bad if you arent careful.

2miles of trail on average with a tank of gas. Clears at a walking pace.

Practice before you put it on trail. The wrong angle or windspeed can wreck a trail tread.

I use a EGO 56v cordless blower that I bought at Home Depot . It works great, less noise no messing with fuel mixtures or worrying about fuel going bad from sitting. This has made my gas blower obsolete. It will run for 1-2 hours on a charge. Highly recommend this unit.
