Hey all,

I'm just getting into MTB and am really stoked on it tup . I've gone on about five ~6 mile XC rides in the past couple of weeks all on Hardtails. I have finally narrowed down my search to two possible candidates. They are:

Bike 1:

- 2009 Trek 8000 (L)
- stock but in mint condition; guy never rode it outside of his neighborhood
- http://www.bicyclebluebook.com/searchlistingdetail.aspx?id=17718

Bike 2:

- 2005 Specialized Stump Jumper FSR Expert 120 Disc (M)
- also mainly stock and also in great condition like the trek
- http://www.bicyclebluebook.com/searchlistingdetail.aspx?id=10569

Basically trying to decide between a HT or FS at this point. The only thing that is bothering me is that I am 6'~6'1" and 220 lbs. I will be 195-200 at a healthier weight. Will I be too big for the stumpy? Or will a longer seat post/stem fix that issue?

Any advice/insight s are appreciated!

Happy trails!
