Wanting to purchase one of these two bikes. I'm going with the Status 2 vs the 1 as the components are obviously better and will not need to upgrade too many components. Same goes for the Aurum 6.2 vs 6.3. That being said, if anyone has any input on which bike they prefer or have ridden any of these two, please let me know! The reason I've decided on these bikes is due to the lower relative cost and great overall performance, components, and construction but if anyone has any other suggestions around 3-3.5 k, feel free to list them.

The Aurum and the Status will feel completely different, I suggest that you try both. I personally like the Status more for both DH and Freeride. With 3k you could buy a killer used bike (just keep that in mind).
