Leave it to Almostwise.

And I tried to suggest Bank Transfer and Gift etc. as a warning on buy/sell as a banable offence not long back, but seems to have been ignored.

By the same people who report to this thread, and mods. Or however Radek set up the restrictions on ads where you can be banned for breaking the rules of the ad.

People will know to report anyone who asks otherwise.

maybe in order to see the Buysell section, make it so you need to agree to the rules, terms and conditions of posting advertisements, and you can only post an ad once you have agreed to the conditions. make it so that anyone that doesnt accept paypal goods has their ads deleted, and users can report people who dont accept these payments, along with proof that they do not accept it (the ad itself, PM screenshots etc.)

It's not hard to set up, and people in the past have used their friends paypal or parents when I suggested it.

Nah. My "customers" use bank transfer alot of the time or paypal gift. Its not fair on those who are totally legit. The current system is good enough. Its all about peoples ability to use common sense not how strict the advertising rules are

I disagree, it leaves scammers free to ask for it and those who are unaware to be scammed.

Also, if this restriction comes up, the buyers and sellers will wonder why gift, bank transfer and other fraudulent payment schemes are not allowed, then they will all find out why.

It cuts down scams by a huge amount and is better than a rating system with flaws.

I probably wouldn't have sold anything at all on PB if I required paypal payment, just been bank transfer and pay on delivery so far.

Obviously Pay on collection is involved!

But no doubt Pinkbike won't do it anyway, so it's not worth voicing opinions on really.

i am the same, ive never had a problem with bank transfers, but were just lucky to not be in the minority of people who got scammed, and have nothing to do about it. after buying more expensive parts i decided paypal was a lot safer, so now i only accept/will pay paypal goods and cash in hand.

and of course cash in hand is still preferred.

What protection do I have if I do a bank transfer to you?
