So I keep getting all these damn mixed answers from google.

I need to know what size cage I need for my new rear derailleur

I'm going to be running a 11-26T rear cassette 9speed, and a 36T front chain ring single

Please don't bash about this topic about beating a dead horse

I would run a short cage with that.

I have the same gearing range and use a Shimano Zee short cage set up. Haven't had any problems at all.

I used a 9sp Saint mech on a 32t and 34t cassette with no problems at all.

Dude, I picked up the zee derailleur and shifter, and an XT rear cassette and I f*cking love it!
