Hi I've just fitted one of these to replace my other tyre. This is a 2.2 tyre. The one I took off was a 2.1.
BUT this new tyre is really skinny. Even though it's meant to be a wider tyre. Can any work this out??

A 2.0 tyre from a brand will always be different from a 2.0 from another brand.

Maxxis used to undersize their tyres, with 2.5 DHF tyres being thinner than 2.35 Schwalbes for example. So it's kinda normal.

Got to buy another tyre now. I just thought 2.2 was 2.2 lol. Will get the same as front tyre just so I now lol

2.2 should be 2.2", but then each manufacturer has its own way of measuring 2.2" I guess Smile

And rim width does play a lot in tyre width

Didn't think about the rim width

many newer tires are more accurately sized, but there's still a lot of variation, between brands but also models within a brand. If you're considering a common tire, you might find them on new bikes at your LBS, so you can measure for yourself before buying blind.
