Giant Trance 4 - OD or OD2?

Hi Guys,

Thinking about purchasing the Trance 4 but I don't like the sound of the 70mm stem.

Has anyone upgraded the stem? And if so what size stem fits? I've looked around and the gaint websites are contradictory. Is it OD or OD2?

So I got a response from Giant


The stem required is to fit a 1 1/8” (28.6mm) steerer tube and with a 31.8mm bar clamp.

Correct:

OD is 1 1/8th (common)
OD2 is 1 1/4th (good luck!)

My 2013 Trance has a 90mm OD Stem... I just ordered a 60mm for it.

Yeah that makes it a lot easier as I was in the same boat trying to find directions some thing for overdrive2! I've advised Giant to update the UK website with corresponding info.

I've just ordered myself the chromag fubar osx and chromag grips so need that shorter stem!
