My last two builds...

They are pretty close but there is definitely an advantage to front sus on single track stuff. I don't ride that stuff so I have not ridden the blue one once this year and only rode it maybe 2 months last year.

What is that 24"? S&M Dirt Bike 24"?

No, the cruiser has a DK fork in the pic but now has a Chrome Pitchfork. Both frames I made in my garage, straight gauge 4130 (I don't feel the need for butted tubing and I'd have to order that sutff. Plain 4130 tubing I can pick up locally) Head tubes were from Fire Bikes BB shells were from a local guy with a pipe feeder on a CNC machine who works for beer!

Well, that's rad! Got a name for them? Slap some logo stickers on 'em?! Wink

The Sus bike I called the Lowballer because it has a pretty low BB height (Which I like) I was going to hand paint it on the down tube but haven't gotten to it yet. The Cruiser I was thinking about the "chick Magnet" because I haven't seen a girl out where I ride in years. I don't have a serious name for it yet but I really do like it. I have had a few guys ride them and reviews have been positive though one guy said the cruiser was too short.... I thought it was pretty long. but it only has a 42mm stem. I have a design I want to make into a logo but I'm not too deft wit photo shop and I suck at the vector point stuff.

Sorry for the massive thread jack!!!!

I was at Hilltop Jam this weekend and saw multiple 22" bmx. I heard them coin it as 650b of BMX, pretty funny. Heard they were super comfortable and great for trails.

Yep, I was there too. 22"s are a solid part of the Texas bmx trails scenes. Wink

I wish they had of come out 10 years earlier, I may have gone that route instead of the MTBs. Seems like a pretty cool option but a little too much of an investment to "try out" I have not seen one in person.

If you like both 20" and 24", there's no way you won't like 22". For me, 22"s replaced my 20". I'm still into 24" and 26".

There are a lot of great builds in this thread:

For an old school perspective, check out this guy who made a 22" Hutch Trick Star:
