Boxxer WC (2014) end rebound dial not working

Hi all

The red dial for ending rebound on my boxxers turns and clicks but just keeps going around and around with no limits.
When I serviced the fork there is nothing visually wrong with any component, it's just won't hit a hard stop so that I can calibrate to a correct setting.
Wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and if so, how they remedied it.
