After a few casual single malt scotch tasters this afternoon, I'm keen to know what are your favorites?
Personally favour a peaty single malt eg.lagavulin 16 y.o. and am partial to Adelphi's blends but I am always changing my mind.
Discuss.....

A good group of friends that I have get together for a quarterly scotch night; everyone brings a bottle so we often have a selection of 20+. My favorite so far was a Caol Isla.

I love the smokey, peat infested stuff.

"Regulars" are: Laphroaig Select 10y, Laphroaig 10y, Ardbeg Uigeadail. Then Ardbeg Corryvreckan or Lagavulin 16y if I want to spoil myself.

Anyone had the Lagavulin 12y?

edit: and for what it's worth, I avoid Macallan like the plague

Not had the 12 yo....I think, but love the 16 yo.
Ben Romach 10 yo is very good for the price.
Folks got me a Glen Devron 16 yo which is rather nice too.
Got another Lagvulin during the week and also got a Royal Loughnagar as a random bottle. Not blown away by it at first, but fear not, I will give it plenty of chances to impress.

Nah Ballater, we have an indian named after the lochnagar mountain aswell. Good riding up there, finishing a ride in the distillery can be both a great and terrible idea.

Nah not the queen, just one of her homies eh? Wink
