I want to buy a 2013 p3 that I found here on pb. I could buy it for 1000$ canadian and its mint cond. But my local bike shop is going to have the black 2016 p3 for 1699.99$ I like both and i can afford the 2016 but will it be worth it? Would be nice to have like 800$ to spare. Im just asking if there are any changes to the frame from 2013-2016 thanks.

Iirc, the 2013 will have an RCT (fork). The 2016 has a Circus Expert. Both great forks, but the RCT generally costs more and is straight steerer only. I find it smoother than the Circus, and easier to adjust.

I'd check the 2013 thoroughly before buying, though. My 2008 looked like it was in mint condition (and it technically was) when I sold it, but I spent a good 5 years on it.

Just a warning due to the number of P-bike horror stories I've heard. My p bikes were always good, they held up.

I'd assume the frame changes are probably minor from 2013 to 2016... maybe a little more or less bb drop, and a slightly shorter cs on the 2016. Probably negligible differences.

Also it comes with the rockshox argyle soloair 100mm. Iv never had a air fork. I know I need a high pressure pump. Does it matter what pump? Like so it fits?

You need a shock pump for the fork.

Thanks! Also I found the 2014 air pressure chart but not the 2013. Are they the same?

There actually a lot of differences between 2013 vs 2016, hta 70.5 in 13 now 69.5, chainstay 393 vs 388, wheelbase 1059 vs 1065, different bb, etc.

I bought the 2013 p3 yesterday late evening. I'm really happy with it. It's mint with no scratches. Came with chromag scarab pedals. Really happy with my decision. Now still have money for other stuff. I want to buy a new rear hub, a loud one. But I have no idea what size to look for. Can someone recommend one that's not too expensive? Cheers
