id leave the fork there were it my bike. toss on gears and a front brake and shes set.
Yeah, will certainly put a front brake on in the near future, but not gonna be riding any steep or fast stuff for a while as I'm slowly getting back into it after injury, think I'm gonna keep the SS though, always loved just running SS and despite what many people say, it really isn't much slower (if at all) than running gears for 4X
thats true. id end up jacking up the seat and going trail riding so gears = must for me. even if it was a nice 1x10 set up with a wide range cassette and just use the bottom half for gate racing
So it's done, may lower the fork but it rides nicer than I thought at 150. I suppose strictly speaking not a 4X bike, but I'll be racing on it in a couple of months and planning on racing the DS on it. Sitting at just over 26lbs but will be a couple of pounds more if I go geared and add a front brake
Wow good job! actually looks nicer than i would have expected.
Looks pretty cool! I used to have an earlier model trance (I guess the yukon and trance are pretty similar?) and it was so much fun, but it was before I started 4x and I never raced it. I was too tall for it really, especially being an xs frame but at the time my friend also had one and I found the frame brand new with shock for like £350 so I couldn't resist.
