Surely there's a way you can get the I'm assuming top cap off?

Then you don't have to run a 650b fork

I'd go completely new. Just cause if its as rounded as you say, you'll probably break the cap, threads or something else to get it off.

I'm sure I could find someone who could get it off somehow, but I would certainly have to buy another top cap to replace it anyway, which makes me think that just selling it along with the rev and getting something else is easier

I've just picked up a 26" Revelation for my 4X bike, would keeping (and lowering?) your Rev not be an option?

Posted: Feb 9, 2017 at 3:35 Quote
It's an option, but as its 27.5, lowering it to 100mm would only lower the A2C to about 4mm lower than the 120mm reba IIRC, and I might as well sell the Rev and get a brand new 2015 27.5 reba in that case

Sounds reasonable!

Plenty of cheap 2014 26" Revs around, cheap to lower and hit the right price/weight/stiffness sweet spot for me.

Looks great. What's the fork like?

On another note, just got to build up my rear wheel when spokes arrive (hopefully tomorrow) And then I can get on with building up my 4X bike Smile

Fork is ok, I only really ride at Chicksands and it does the job but I haven't ridden much to compare it to.

Yeah will be at Chicky and also at 4X Thursday this week at Birmingham BMX Track.
Thursday night, 5-9ish (some people stayed until 10 last time). It costs £5 to ride but you get a huge amount of pizza as well!

Had this beauty built up last week, before Round 1 of the British 4X Series.

Polygon Trid ZZ slope frame,
DMR Thret/ Superstar Ultra Wheelset,
DMR AXE crankset,
Shimano ZEE drive chain,
Shimano SLX Brakes,
Azonic Cockpit,
Rockshox Monarch R- rear sus,
Fox 32 Fork.

Rides like an absolute dream. Feels like a hardtail until you don't want it to be. Cornering speed is incredible, feels so safe with extra stability. Next to no difference compared to my previous Transition Bank out of the gate.
