P.Slope will be cheaper but not as versatile, but you'd have to deal with Specialized's crap customer service. The Double is more versatile because you can adjust the saddle height, but I would recommend putting in a fox float air spacer kit in the shock, otherwise you'll bottom her out right quick.
So you think the Double? Transition have the lifetime warranty which I like a lot.
I'm biased. I have a double. At one time it was my one bike stable. DJ/Pump track and trail ripper. It really depends on your specific needs. With the Dub you have the versatility of swapping the travel from 100mm to 80mm depending on the track or needs.
You're probably not going to need the warranty but you might need parts. I have nothing but good things to say about my past dealings with Transition. Specialized on the other hand...hit or miss. If you buy the P.Slope you're going to be a first adopter. It's probably dope but there could be unforseen issues. Maybe it eats bearings for breakfast? I unno.
I love my Double. Other bikes have come and gone but it's the one I've kept. There's a bunch of other sick little 4" bikes out there and these days they're all good.
That Transition is freaking sweet. What do you guys think of my absolut? I'm just after some new forks for it now..
I guess new fork and short rear mech will make it great. It is already well built, IMO. Is it mavic en521 on the wheels?
edit: and what fork you have in mind?
Yeah I mean its pretty much built to be fair, its just little mods now that could be done if I wanted, The rims are Mavic en521s yeah and forks wise I was thinking 831s if I could ever get around to affording them! haha
