Today while installing this my drill slipped and I went through the whole wheel with a 3/8 inch drill bit instead of just the inside portion of the wheel per the instructions..... I assume its done for?

it certainly doesn't look good. i would try and fix the sharp edges with your drill and maybe try to throw a tube in and see if it'll hold air without puncturing?

We all know that Ralphie didn't say fudge

---------
Only I didn't say "Fudge." I said THE word, the big one, the queen-mother of dirty words, the "F-dash-dash-dash" word!
---------

just adding "ed" to the end of that pretty much sums up the situation.

and sorry, I laughed pretty hard when I saw that, because having been there myself in the past it helps ease the painful memories of them all ... Big Grin

as mentioned previously, not sure why you were trying to do that in the first place, looks like you must have been doing it by hand and with a big bit in thin metal it tried to bite off too big of a piece off and drove itself right through

Yea I already did. It now has a tube in it with a washer on the top to hold it in place somewhat. I will prob look for a new rim long term.

Like I said. It was in the instructions for the stans no tubes kit.

Although I have learned from this that my tubes are tubeless ready so drilling was not required.

But thanks for your kind words.

Maybe try a tubeless schraeder valve. They're bigger than the presta. May fit good after filing the edges smooth.

That far off-center, don't think so but it's not my chance to take ...

Honestly I reckon if you either use a Schrader valve or a shit ton of O-rings you're grand

+1 then learn not to be retarded by doing such procedures on small thinly made pieces of metal which just might save your face.

errr... it's an OSB rim by the looks of it
Joes offer S/V strips, i'd be looking at a set of those if you want to pursue the use of the wheels

or find some schwalbe S/V tubes, they have threaded valve stems so you could make a ghetto valve out of a couple of those
