So I'm replacing the brake pads on my Shimano Zee brakes. I did the front brake NBD, but now I'm onto the rears. The pads I have look like this https://www.bike24.com/i/p/7/2/80727_00_d.jpg

The ones I pulled from the rear look like this http://static.jensonusa.com/images/Default-Image/Zoom/3/BR232D01.jpg

The front pads were pretty worn completely gone so I'm glad I switched those. My question, can use the pads I have on the back? I'm assuming no, since they don't have the extended backing piece.

O+

It looks like you should be all good. The new ones seem to be a generic fit for your brakes whereas the ones you're pulling off are the top of the line Shimano pads. The black part at the top of the old pads are Shimano's patented cooling fins.
