Hello! Sw Demo 8 2016, not unscrew main bb pivot, a special key is to frame inserting a 6 mm screw-drive bend and unscrew pivot bb. Who is this problem?

Sorry I haven't unscrewed mine yet, I was under the impression that no tool was needed.

Has anyone found a way to quiet down the rear end on these bikes? I believe the noise is coming from the derailleur hitting the frame on hard repeated impacts, but I've tried putting foam on the frame where the derailleur contacts it with limited success.

Also, does anyone else have problems with the cable wearing down and eventually breaking where it exits the derailleur?

Don't know if it makes a difference, but my specific bike is a 2016 alloy II size long.

It's not the mech hitting the frame it's chain slap I found, it's not possible for the mech to hit the frame.

I wrapped the seat and chain stays with roadie handle bar grip tape and it helped alot.

Quite noisey bikes it seems.

Hey guys!!

I'm going to get my new S works
I'm 5'10. And I'm not sure if I should to go Large or Medium?

What you guys recommend?

And thanks

i'm 5'10 and i sold my 2015 demo large . The large was to big for me . Now i am on a 2017 sworks medium and it's PERFECT ! You should buy a medium tup

At 5'10 I would 100% say Large for proper downhill use, I would only pick medium at your height if you are buying the bike solely for bike parking / free-riding.

But it's personal preference so it's best to sit on them and see.

I'm 6'3 and on an XL S-Works and I'm putting a 6mm reach adjust headset on it to make it even longer this year. tup

i just got my 2015 demo 8 carbon frame. going to build it up.

first thing i noticed is the rear brake posts are for 180mm rotor on these bikes. but specialized website under archive for that year says its a 200mm rotor. and its the only one that it says 200 for. but 2016 and up are 180mm??
are they running a adapter in 2015? or is it bolt straight on at 200mm? or a typo?

if i need a adapter then. what are my options for a adapter?

They have always had 180mm in the rear.

To run 200mm SRAM brakes you need an avid 20mm Post to Post mount.

there are shimano specific post to post mounts for 200 or 203 but I have never used them personally so couldn't give you the exact mount.

Something like this.

why would the coil spring rub the shock body? I have seen on other bikes but it was more like rubbing the paint off , this is making scratches and pits,2017 demo stock van rc shock ,anyone have this issue?
