Do you think there is a way to auto-create events from RSS feeds?
I am thinking for Demo days...it would be a ton of time to keep up w/ all the Demo days event by event. But it would be cool to see them listed on TForks.
Having an issue with linking to the "race series" now. I can see that the series is available here : http://www.trailforks.com/series/9/ but when i try to add it to the listing it doesnt show up in the available options box.
this is the event: http://www.trailforks.com/event/74/
Also, just a thought but instead of leaving the event as unpublished because it needs approval for the audience.. It would probably be better to publish it subject to review.

fixed, for some reason the series author was myself not you.
Also events are published regardless of their audience approval. So they will show to nearby users or if linked directly.

Yes I want to import events via feeds, preferable a custom JSON feed an association website sets up. For those Facebook events, unfortunately there is not an RSS feed.
If a lot of places list all their events on Facebook under a page like that, I could do a FB API query based on the page ID, to get a list of their events. But automating importing them is a bit tricky, won't necessarily know what type of event.
There also seems to be an issue with the search feature. If I click on country then select UK, the results are missing some of the events even though they are set up as being in the UK. The only way to get them all to show up is to set the map at 668km. This brings up a complete list.
if you click on the "nearby" tab it shows you events in your location. If you then us the filters on the right and select "country" (in my case UK) it doesn't widen the search to cover the country it still only covers your "nearby" area. It just adds in a filter for that country in your nearby area.
To select the wider area you need to click on the "all" tab then select the country for it to have the desired effect.
It might be an idea to have the country filter override the nearby pat of the search?
Tried creating an entry for a meeting. That is probably the only event of the ones listed where the Riding Area wouldn't necessarily be required under Location. Can that field be changed or cleared?

Its not obvious, but to clear one of the location fields, select "All" then press the "Enter" key.
