2016 trance 27.5 rear shock swap

I am looking to change out the rear shock on my 2016 trance 27.5. I want to put the FOX FLOAT X FACTORY SHOCK 2017 on it. They have the eye to eye for mine. Does anyone know of an issue with doing this? If there isn't an issue I'll be putting on a fox talas 34. Would there be a benefit to a 36? It's about 100 more. FOX FLOAT X FACTORY SHOCK 201
