First ride on 20"

I'm a newbie and 31 yo. I ride 26" & 29er MTB and now bought a used 20" Monty 221pr to ride trials. As soon as I got on this 20" bike, i felt it is totally different from other bikes i experienced before. It's like a wild horse under me and i hardly tried to control. Is that normal for everyone for their first ride on trials bike? If so, how many days they have to try to get use to it? I have to practice even Track Stand from beginning. :-(
