i see further retro "revolution" if thats what you call it, or a move towards the simplistic. like single speeds. the top end cutting edge stuff only appeals to so much of the market and i think most people would rather focus on enjoying a ride rather than trying to keep up with the lastest and greatest and being cool. I larf at those rushing out to get a 3% increase in bike performance when they'd be far better off if they lost some wieght or focused on improving their fitness or general skills
i'd like to see wheelsets with different rims specific to the front and rear duties, ie front - wide and light with reduced spoke count for a better tire profile and motion responce, rear - narrower than the front with more meat/strengh and spokes to handle the extra stress it handles. All with the benefits of a wheelset - consistent graphics, packaged price, etc
lightweight gearbox in a bb, 100% recycled puncture proof foam tyres, less cheep (but overpriced) bikes from far east and more quality hand built bikes made by bikers....a return of the Z rim in 26 in!
