so i hate drum brakes, fo real. snapped 2 studs on my right rear wheel, took the wheel off and realised i had drums, asked god why me?, then spend the next 4 hours getting that stupidly tight on drum off and then back on. all for 2 wheel studs.
ya it was disgusting how tight that thing was, first thing i did once i got it off was tighten the sleeves way up, was still a bitch to get back on. to be honest though i could have probably had it done faster but im just glad i was able to do it myself.
and not all 4 hours were spent getting the drum off, 4 hours is how long the whole thing to finish.
i had a 5 pound hammer with a t shirt over it so my neighbors wouldnt get pissed, beat the shit out of that thing. and then the f*cking studs took awhile to get out, then getting the thing back on was another horrendous task. god i hate drums.
oh and to top it off my parking brake is now acting funny, im not even going to f*ck with that i'll just leave it in gear until i sell it.
probably not going to get the help I need but why not,
Alright so me and my friend (owner of the car) were installing his new head until last night. The car is a 1989 240sx with a swapped dual cam motor. We took out the old head unit and wired the new one in exactly how the old one came out and it didn't work. We took that unit back and tried another one, nothing. Re-tried the original and nothing. Tested all the leads, each one had power when it should and yet still nothing. However the catch now is ever since we took the old stereo out when you turn the ignition on the wipers go on once and his clock resets to 1:00, and the clock doesn't stay on when the ignition is off anymore. I'm wondering if there are any ideas from anyone here on why this might be (other than obvious wipers wired to ignition and clock shorted out) because it's just since the old stereo came out.
