Is moose rideable yet do you guys know? Or where else would be a good spot to ride big bikes?

Put some shovel time in at the trail day, today. I'm sure that would show you if the trails were decent enough to ride. .

MMBTS will be having another trail day this weekend on Saturday. This week we'll be splitting up volunteers to tackle a greater range of trails in order to get the mountain ready for when the gate opens on the 15th. Work will continue on the new trail Family Guy as well with ground work beginning on the third and final section of the trail! MMBTS will be loaning out tools for the day, but your encouraged to bring your own if you have them (we ran out of pick mattocks last weekend). With 800 meters of trail built last week in a single day it's clear MMBTS is only beginning to realize its potential as a community. Strength in numbers indeed...

Meet in the Ing's Mine parking lot at 10:30am. We'll work for the day and then celebrate the start of a new season with a post trail building BBQ. Hope to see lots of you there!

Hey guys, I'm in town with my 8 year old son and our bikes and he wants to go and hit a few trails. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a place for us to go. Something like brakeless at moose mountain would be a good trail for him or more difficult trails with ride arounds for any difficult obstacles. We don't get many opportunities to ride hills where we live so today is kind of special for us. Thanks in advance.

Check out Fishcreek and the trails on the ridge through there.

We just got back from an 18km loop and tried to mix it up with as many single track trails along the ridge as we could. Not bad for an easy 3 hour ride. The ridge on the east side of the Bow along the Douglas and Mckenzie neighborhoods has single track that is in poor shape right now. Still pretty wet in most places and it looks like the ridge has slipped in quite a few areas.

Yes. That is where i was talking about. And yes every year the land falls of of the ridge. Just to uncover great building dirt for a trail that will only last half a season. Lately we have also been having ranger problems.

The west side of Fishcreek has some more trails if you guys go out again, access here http://g.co/maps/8vck5 .

There's also some decent stuff on the south side of the reservoir, access at the end of 90th Ave, it leads into Weaselhead. http://g.co/maps/8t6h2

In both cases, just ride west and explore.

Yeah that's because you guys aren't supposed to build there.

Indeed. Because having fun is bad.
