I just found out that bourdon was dropped from kona.
It looks like kona is going more into the slopestyle side with laconugy, and bass. and forgetting about the big mountain riding that Mountainbiking came from.
I think its a mistake, any other oppinions?

I think it's not a mistake in any way, and don't even try to start full of bullshit thread about reasons for dropping him and Watson out of the Clump, because most of YOU GUYS have no idea what riders are paid for and what is this job about. Bourdon and Watson will be still riding for Kona, but not in Clump as it is a team which competes, mostly in slopestyle now, where Bourdon and Watson are not the best a.k.a. suck.

And it's not "anugugy" but Lacondeguy, okay Mr.Ignorant?

wow, threres no need to jump down his throat..... he was simply stating a fact and asked other opinions. I'm not to sure why you are so touchy about the subject but chill buddy. I agree with him that it is a mistake that there are dropping Watson and bourdon. They helped to shape the sport and they are both very skilled riders.

I won't chill man, because threads like this one lead into tons of 'wannabe facts' created by people who had nothing to do with being paid for riding a bike, especially for such a big company. You may say it's good or bad that they dropped them, but 1st of all they will be still riding for Kona, just not a part of the Clump, and that is a big difference. 2nd, I'm sure that Kona is very thankful for what they made for the sport and a company, but c'mon, it's a job and like in any other no one cares that you were good 10 years ago. I'm sure that Bourdon and Watson are happy with this deal, the market changed, the definition of freeride changed alot, and I'm just sick of reading bullshit like "Ooh, Kona is so discrespectful for them, how can they do that, it's so awful and Bourdon still rocks" I'm 100% sure that opinions like that would appear here, like they did on other forums about the whole 'Clump dropping thing' .

i agree that it may lead to untrue facts being posted but he wasn't be disrespectful he was just simply stating a fact that has been posted on many 0n-line bike magazines and then asked others opinions about it. There is nothing to get worked up about it's just one rider communicating with other riders.

This is old news from 2 or 3 weeks ago, there have already been several threads about Watson and Bourdon's departure from the Clump. So there is no need to make another

well that all sounds cool but no wonder kona dropped him ,big hits and massive gaps aren't "cool" anymore unless you back flip superman x-up triple bar spin it.all the media attention is going towards the slopeside of things.

yeah, unfortunatly the non riding public isnt really amused that much by massive hucks anymore, which i think is awesome, but slopestyle is really going off and now more people want to see double flips and 1080s rather than a huge huck, i like a good mix of both
