Hi, I am fairly new to BMX, so sorry for the nooby question.

I have a 2007 Fit AM and I just realized the my bars are really small (the rise) compared to my friends bikes.

The frame is a 20" and I am 6ft, so I know it's small for me, but does bar rise go by your height as well?

How is it measured>? I did a little drawing.

Is it measured by A, B, or C ? lol, or am I wrong with those all together.

What should I be running for bar rise?

When you tell me how it is measured, I can go measure mine and tell you.

None of those is the way to measure your bars rise. You want to measure from the actual handle bars, not the cross bar. So the part between where your grips are on, and the part that your stem clamps to is the area that you measure...If that makes sense.

As for how much you should run, it's all personal preference. Also take into consideration how many spacers you have underneath your stem. Technically that gives you more rise.

I'm 6'1 and riding 7.25" rise. But I'm getting new bars soon with 7.8".

Go all the way, get the 9" before they're trendy and you'll be ahead of the game.

But seriously, I ride 7.75" and I don't find them high enough even though I'm not tall. Maybe it's because I used to MTB, I don't know.

I've got my eyes on the new Sunday Vinnie bars that are 8x26.75", just because most 8" bars are 28" wide and I don't really want them that wide. I may go for 8.25" high, because it's only half and inch different than what I have now.

So really you just have to try some bars yourself to see what you like.

haha thats basically the same deal im in. i ride like 7.25" and im looking to get an 8" bar, ive even flipped my drop stem to get an extra 1/4 to 1/2 inch. im so used to having a high front end(5 inch fork, 26's, 3 inch rise barsEek ) yea im just used to having higher bars. im 5'9" and im hunched over quite a bit and the extra bar high could help alot.

im 5'11" and ride 7.3" rise, and I cant stand big bars. My bike is so whippy compared to my 7.75". Everyone likes something different but it seems the majority likes 'em big.
