Either you are too close for your autofocus to work (they are pretty damn good these days), or you were on manual and didn't realise -.-

the focus was on, i never take a pic when its off

You have to use manual focus sometimes man.

In some conditions, the autofocus doesn't work properly.
Pretty rare now, but it might focus on a spot deeper in the photo, or pick the wrong focus point. Its good for shooting action shots, but if you do get to use manual focus (say on a tripod), its better off to do it by hand.

the problem is that i dont have a manual focus, i dont have an SLR camera.
SLR camers are too expensive for me.
