notice you have clipless pedals do you do alot of pedaling on that bike?
How are the LB rims? How aggressive do you ride them?

yep...a lot of climbing, pretty easy to get 500 to 1000 vertical climbing metres on a ride, every downhill is earned around here and its great for climbing, no XC bike though naturally. She weighs a hair over 15KG, which I don't think is too bad for a 180mm alloy bike with a coil shock,

Im not a jumper but our trails are full of roots and rocks which im not shy of attacking at 40-50kph and the wheels are awesome. So I really just got the beefier rims for confidence and still saved 300 grams each end over the stock rims, great upgrade, noticeably lighter, stiffer and therefore easier to perform mid-corner corrections etc, I've been abusing them most weekends for the past year and they're still good as new.

Itching to get my hands on the "Wide Trail versions of the Maxxis tyres, since the profile does stray from being optimal with the wide rims but still the most grip I've ever had, not exactly 6fatty levels of tyre volume (a good thing to me) but definately more cushion for the pushin Smile

That fork is and spring is a lot of weight there. I had a Reign x with that same rear shock a ti spring saved quite a bit of weight. Also while that front fork is awesome it does weigh a bit more than other offerings. My Reign was really light for a coil bike at 29.5 lbs. Irony it was lighter than my Enduro with a air shock. But the reign sucks balls compared to the performance of the enduro.

got my bike back from a quick rebleeding service and the mechanic surprised me with a cheeky clean
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

my inner 12 year old also wants to show off two new stickers that I recently put on
new stickarzzzzz oxfam and the rise ayyy
would still like to upgrade my cockpit with a shorter stem and wider bars but if it doesnt happen it doesnt happen!
a couple of my friends want me to get some funky looking bmx grips too as ive sold my street ride, I'm sure we'd all agree theres nothing wrong with a nod to your roots but the colour could be slightly more controversial...

I'd rather just get some new Deathgrips but the camouflage pattern isn't enough lol

decided the old girl needed to be a bit quieter (and I was at a loss for upgrades) so on went an e*thirteen LG1R guide.

Actually really effective in conjunction with the clutch derailleur, since it always struggled to keep any tension in the downhill gears especially with the 30T, the guide just helps keep the derailleur clutch in its butter zone rather than flirting around on the edges of engagement.

Also whisper quiet when pedalling due to the rubber roller...very happy

...and the two-tone even matches the bike for +1 style points

Its slack enough for my liking and riding. Right now it is set in the high BB setting. With the low BB setting and the 160 fork its Pimp

also mid way through a 6fattie conversion. 27.5x3.0" fits up front, but was tight in the rear. waiting for a 2.8" tyre to come in.

on a 30mm roval fattie. basically the same as what the stumpy 6fattie runs, just without boost hubs.
if i decide i like it, i'll probably opt for a ~35mm rim.
