So, I didn't bother reading all 536 pages, but work is bringing me up to Nova Scotia the week of July 30th. I may have some extra time and was wondering if/where there are some decent trails/rental bikes up there if I have some free time. I don't do big hucks, but like technical stuff and consider myself more of an aggressive XC/All mountain type guy than DH/Freeride.
Bayers Lake industrial park up Lacewood Dr, there's a burger king with a gravel parking lot behind it. there's a fun aggressive XC trail there. i wouldnt trust a lot of the wooden features there but you can easily avoid them. its a fun ride with lots big of steep rock ride downs, casual drops, roots, whoops, and a fun power line track in the middle of it that is wild to blaze down as fast as you can.
there's lots of different trails and it's relatively easy to get lost but there's usually markers and once you ride it once slow, explore, and find your grove the next visit will be a ball once you see how the trail you choose looks in and out.
