I have discovered my boy has ovaled his rear wheel (its only cheap so not suprised) but his frame will only take 10mm axles. can I buy a wheel with 20mm axles and change them out to 10mm

Just buy a wheel with the right size axle. Most rear wheels with a 3/8 axle are pretty damn cheap. I don't think I've ever seen a BMX wheel with a 20mm hub anyway.

Shity bikes and nice race bikes have 3/8's rear dropouts and nice Freestyle BMX bikes have 14mm dropouts

He's not wearing a helmet...Why?

Either way, you can get adapters to fit a 3/8 axle into a 14mm drop out, but you can't put a 14mm axle into a 3/8 drop out. You also can't put a 3/8 axle into a 14mm hub.

He did have a helmet with him.. It was when he started jumping we realised he needed a new one because it was to floppy when jumping he has a new one now that he wears all the time..
