Anybody in here also whitewater kayak? A friend and I were going to make a pilgrimage up to Vancouver and Whistler the end of august, And we were gonna bring the boats along with the bikes, anybody know of some websites or groups that can give us the skinny on any good river runs in the area? Any help is much appreciated.
Has anyone been down to the Queensborough skatepark djs? Are they all messed up still? Anyone know if the parks board is in charge of maintaining them or is it rider maintained? I honestly can't imagine the public fixing them up, just way too many people there, you'd have to camp out and tell people not to ride it.
yeah but I suck and they seem like the best place to learn
If I were learning I would want to go somewhere where the jumps were set up good. I suck too but I have enough experience to know when something is wonky or not and the jumps in queensborogh are definitely wonky.
do you know any good places for beginners then? I rode the burnaby mtn ones a while back (sept) and they flowed a lot better than queensborough even though they were worn from the rain.
one problem is I'm on a bmx though, I couldn't ride some of the sets on burnaby because they had rocks jutting out of them.
Those jumps never seemed very good. Awkward drop in.
its more of a bmx set up. I agree they are bad jumps but good for kids to learn on. And the one day a season the good people show up theres some good trasfers to hit.
