This would probably be in the Off-Topic section. Anyways, I have a Olympus Evolt E-500 and paid around 800. It's good, but you can get an alot better camra for a couple hundred more.

I have a Cannon XTi and absolutly love it. It ran me around 1000, plus the memory card, plus an external flash. Everything together was probably 1600ish.

I'm using an old (1980-ish) Konica SLR film camera. It's old but takes some awesome pictures

I'm saving for a nikon d80 at the moment. Another great camera with the same general abilities is the pentax k10d. Both of these bodies will cost you around $1000, and then you need to get lenses.

I have a Nikon Coolpix 7900. It is a nice point and shoot compact digital. I payed 600 CAD for it back then. Now you can get allot better stuff for the same price, I am looking at geting the Nikon D40 next. It's around 650, a realy nice high quality entry levle SLR.

Good topic. I've got a Sony Cyber-Shot C2. 270pounds when new with point and shoot function or manual settings. I'd recommend the Canon 350D or 400D though cause my best buddy does photography at college and thats what he uses alongside a film camera. "Can't go wrong with Canon"

I have a Pentax Optio somethingerother. It was something like $270. It's great when it works, but it breaks alot. For instance, today I took it out of my backpack to take pictures, and discovered that the display (which is also the viewfinder) had quit working. So I'd say no, unless your gonna keep it wrapped up in a pillow and never take pictures.

I use a HP Photosmart M22. It's my dads and he'll only take pictures for me. The camera is so expensive he won't let me bring it along on rides.
