Does anyone know if 07 Frantiks rear travel can be increase to that of the 08 Frantik? The 07 has 6.5 inches while the 08 has 7 inches but from their website the frame geo seems to be the same. Can I just buy the 08 linkage for my 07?

it may look the same but its probally not...and i dont think theyll just sell you the linkage and youd also have to get a new rear shock so its not really worth it for half an inch
the geometry of the frame is exactly the same by the numbers. and why would i need a new shock if its just the positioning of the rear linkage?

not necessarily. if you wanted, you could build a system that pulled 250mm travel out of a xc air shock, its just not done because an air shock is not meant for dh. likewise, you could get 20mm of travel out of giant coil shock as well. its all dependent on the linkage.
