yeah some of my friends have had some bad experiences, its not as if they teatr on every little bit of glass, but lets say id invest my money elsewhere

khe tyres are nice for more advanced riders who stay smooth as the light casing wont have much puncture protection if you case an edge or something, for a beginner id recommend a geax tattoo as it has a semi slick tread and ive only punctured it running over a huge shard of glass that could get through some dh tyres

Hookworms are freaking bulletproof if you pump them up to 4-5 atmospheres.

If you want something that is more reasonable in terms of weight - Kenda Small Block 8. I had one on the front of my BMX for almost a whole summer, it was good.
