For 2012, Devinci made some modification on the chainstay (bigger tubes) and bigger brackets to eliminate vibration noise such as you are describing.

Nothing seem different on the 2012 chainstay to me. Can you picture the new elements plz?

Fresh from MSA WC. Smith bike equiped with the new chainstay.

Not a great picture. The only difference I can see is the 8" post mount. However doing so would eliminate the high/low flip chip settings.

Getting rid of the flip chip is no issue to me as long as the rear stay quiet under braking. This brake mount look by far sturdier then it's predecessor.

So for all the 2011 Wilson owners I got in touch with my contact at Devinci just to see what he had to say about the issues with the vibrations (I was curious because I have a 2012 frame and no issues) and this is what I got in return...

"...We found out it was caused by the size of the brake rotor…being too aggressive and customers using certain components. For 2012 the seat stay was made slightly larger (Beefier)."

Sounds like the rotor size was the main issue. And coupled with the aggressiveness (I'm assuming hammering the brakes in this case) it just made for unpleasant experience for the rear triangle of the Wilson, and it's riders.

To do a complete clean up you need to buy devinci CL pivot custom tool. Check pictures below to see the tool and exploded view of the wilson. It looks complicate but really isn't unless your not mechanical. You should order devinci CL pivot tool as well as the modification kit for the CL pivot (2011 frames came without). PM me your email address and i will send you a PDF.

My mate has bought a Wilson, guessing the xp, as it comes with the truvativ hussefelts, but on the bb there is one spacer, I'm guessing here but will it go on the non drive side and the e13 spacer on the drive side?
Just in case there's something special due to odd chain line?
Ps, no instructions came at all.
Luckily I work in a shop part time or he'd be screwed! Haha.

Any help appreciated, cheers

Howie.
