Today we went to some sandy trails, the difference between the WLSN and the Big Hit is huge when cornering, and well, almost in everything

i did a little vid to show my noise problem.

am using saint 810 brake

my brake pads are new.greassed all the pivots and torqued everything.sanded the paint where the adaptor attach to the frame.

any other idea to correct the problem.i should maybe try 1 organic and 1 metal pad tips or 7 inch rotor.

Thanks !
it can also be from the rear wheel needing to be re-tensioned. i personally have had it happen on my Stumpy Evo. it may not be for your bike but always something to check out

edit: sorry to grave dig

Was just reading a rumor on NSMB of a possible full Carbon Wilson being tested at Whistler. Someone had posted pics on NSMB but the mods deleted them.......Maybe someone on here can get a phone shot of one at Whistler to confirm if there is any truth.

Shhhhhhhh

Well update...they opened my local mountain and my first time up this season was this last weekend. I rode hard for three days on some of the most shale ridden trails I've been on. Needless to say brake usage is much more on this mtn than most I have been at. I'm running a 8" rotor on the back and I developed the loud vibrationsMadder
I know a 7" rotor would do the trick but my Saint M800 hub won't allow a fricken 7" centerlock! No one makes em with the oversized centerlock. Stupid old(er) proprietary hubs. Def can beat the hell outa them. So, I either live with it or I decide to lace up a new hub.

BTW ^^^nice looking Wilson would dig a gold post on that thing!

Please people with the vibration issue, CALL DEVINCI CUSTOMER SUPPORT. The more we are to report it, the faster they will react to it.

It is not normal we have to work arround some issue that are design related. Devinci have to come up with a fix and pass it under warranty. My guess is that the new 8" ready post mount chainstay will fix the issue. I'd prefer a solid and silent braking over a flip chip adjustment that i don't use.

Update on this;
I talked to my contact with Devinci and apparently they have a part that may solve this. It's in the mail to me as we speak but they didn't really give me on anything about what the part is, so I will keep posted.

Any word on what they sent you?

Yeah, it's not really a huge difference, is what he's saying. Little benefits here and there, sure. Does it really redefine the bike? Not even close.

Aluminium vs carbon....
You need to upgrade your Flash Player

Says enough I think. The carbon swingarm is all a big difference, so much stiffer as the Aluminium.
So how stiff and great will a full carbon wilson will feel and ride.
