Hey, this is my first time on the pink bike forums which is why my profile isnt done and blah blah blah. Anyway, im just starting getting into dirt jumping and i was just wondering about some opinions on bikes. I am looking for a dirt jumper around 1000 bucks and in Winnipeg i have phoned a couple of different stores and basically all that was available was Norco, KHS, or Kona. I know most Konas are pretty expensive so they are kinda out for me.

So basically what im looking at is either a KHS DJ200 in the 2005 model

Or the Norco Bigfoot

So if you could please help me out that would be great. Im takin a big leap from crappy walmart bikes to something expensive and i wanna make the right choice without any regrets. Thanks in advance.!

Despite all your Norco answers i went with the KHS anyway, 850 from a guy off pinkbike. And i have no regrets.

that fork has waaayyy to much travel for that frame...and the khs - dj series are sooooo heavy u should have gone with norco imo

i just find khs as bulky. bit over priced.

The newer DJ series are so much lighter than previous generations now, and cheaper. You should have saved your money and bought a new 09 KHS DJ bike.

Probably in the 30lbs range with both brakes and gears.
This, on the other hand is in the 25lbs range.
